WELDON, NC — Weldon City Schools is celebrating a significant milestone as the district moves forward with all four schools meeting or exceeding expected growth based on preliminary 2025–26 accountability results.

Weldon City Schools recently held its first Beginning Teacher (BT) Meeting of the school year, welcoming new educators and setting the stage for a successful year of teaching, learning, and professional growth.

The excitement continues at Weldon City Schools! On the second day of school, students and teachers are settling into their routines, building relationships, and getting down to learning.

From conversations and collaboration to hands-on activities in the classroom, our Chargers are already showing that this year is about more than getting back to school—it’s about moving forward.

Weldon City Schools Superintendent Dr. Tammy Boone kicked off the new school year by making her way across the district, visiting each of our schools and welcoming students and staff back for another year of learning.
