School Health Advisory Council

The School Health Advisory Council is an advisory group composed of individuals selected primarily from the health and education segments of the community. The group acts collectively in providing advice to the school system on aspects of the school health programs. The members of the council are appointed by the school system to advise the school system on the eight components of 

  • School Board Representation
  • School System Administrators
  • School System Food Service Represenative
  • Local Health Department
  • School Health Professionals
  • Students
  • Parents/Guardians
  • Health educators
  • Physical education teachers
  • family and community
  • mental and social health
  • staff wellness
  • school environment
  • health services

SHAC meetings will be held once per quarter. If you are interested in serving on the SHAC committee, please contact Nurse Quinlan Morgan, district SHAC
