Weldon City Schools Welcomes New Principal

Weldon City Schools (WCS) has announced that Ms. Angela Lee-Easter is the new Principal at Weldon Elementary Global Academy. Ms. Lee-Easter is returning to Weldon after beginning her career in education at the Weldon Preschool Center. Prior to her return to Weldon, she served as an assistant principal in Hertford and Warren counties.


“I’m excited to be back and to get to work with our students and staff,” Ms. Lee-Easter commented. “Having our students prepared to meet their dreams in life begins early on,” she added. “At Weldon Elementary Global Academy, our expectations are high and we expect success,” Ms. Lee-Easter concluded.


“Our community is looking forward to working with and supporting the new administration at the elementary school so that our schools are a destination for learners bound for success,” offered Dr. Dannie Williams, Superintendent of Weldon City Schools. “These are exciting times for our school system, and I’m hopeful for our students growing as high-achievers,” he remarked.


Ms. Lee-Easter earned her Bachelor of Arts from Saint Paul College (VA), and she earned her Master’s degree in Educational Management from Strayer University. Additionally, she earned a Master's degree in Church Ministries from Liberty University (VA). Ms. Lee-Easter is a former Weldon City Schools Teacher of the Year.
