  Today we had a special helper and her name is Shi"yanna Richardson. She is a student at Weldon STEM High School Career Academies. She was so eager to read that when I step into her class she immediately asked, "Can I read to the kids, I watch your reading online." She is truly a jewel and loves to make children happy through reading and story-telling. She shared, "I read to my little brother everyday". Weldon City Schools is so proud of our students and their eagerness to be the change we need.

  Each week a classroom from our district will be showcased for parents and the community. It is our goal to ensure that our students are learning and growing in an environment that is conductive to promoting excellence. Mr. Lynch is in tune with his students and understands the process necessary for teaching students where they are. He provides extra support while encouraging all students to take charge as well as ownership of their own learning. He uses the effectiveness of small groups daily as well as think-pair-share to encourage peer support.
